The history of the hotel:
The three-storeyed building of the hotel was built as the house of a merchant in 1860. it was completely reconstructed into the hotel in the beginning of the XXI century. The aim of the reconstruction was to keep the origin historical appearance of the building, because just such constructions of the XVIII – XIX centuries together with narrow streets and small courts recreate the unique face of old merchant Moscow, they don’t go under the influence of time, noise and fuss of the big capital city yet.
The interior of the hotel:
In the course of reconstruction the fourth mansard floor was built, a lift was set. The unique interior design of the hotel has the elements of “Art Nuvo” style, natural marble, mosaic panels, author’s forging, handmade painting of walls and ceilings are used in the decoration. Elegancy distinguishes the furniture of halls and guest rooms made from precious sorts of wood with the elements of handmade decor of Italian masters. The interior makes the hotel really elegant and cozy, creates splendid conditions for work and rest and such peculiar kind of atmosphere of privacy which is typical for only small boutique-hotels.
